Freeform Crochet

GrandMother Tree Ent Bag
$888.00

The GrandMother Tree Ent Bag was crocheted with reclaimed wool, acrylic and cotton fibers. This over the the shoulder bag was inspired by the tree ents of folklore, as well as my own experiences held in the arms of the eldest snarled trees found in ancient groves that I like to call “grandMother.” The wisdom that lives in our forests is beyond our comprehension and yet, we can feel it, carry it with us even. This freeform design seeks to honor that wisdom in a way that can be physically carried with us and help us carry what we need to. This bag is reversible and invertible, which makes it more durable than most woven bags as well as adaptable to many different dimensional objects. The reversed side is comprised of multi-colored scrap yarns collected over years of crochet, and symbolic of the colorful insides of a tree who has seen much time come and go. With a three rope strap that is woven into the frame, this bag was designed to hold the weight of whatever might fit in her face.

Imelda's Grin
$333.00

This one of a kind corduroy jacket is taken to the next level with a toothy grin crocheted pillow patch sewn to it’s back, plus two eyes added to the front. Patches were crocheted freeform and are one of a kind designs crafted by me. The toothy grin was inspired by the feeling of joy and the openness that it carries. The grinning face is crowned with a third eye and many openings, crafted to symbolize the infinite possibilities that are our birthright on this plane. This patch is stuffed to give it dimension and provide you a place to rest while wearing the toothy grin jacket in transit.

The Artemis Hood
$200.00

This hand crafted Artemis hood is crocheted with reclaimed cotton, wool and silk blends of hand dyed yarn. The hood was crafted in a free form style and it is completely one of kind. This item is warm yet breathable, perfect for the varied weather of the high desert and other places. The wool blend can serve to wick away light showers, and the hood makes a statement weather it is worn on or off.

This garment measures about 38 inches around and fits sizes extra small through large. The Artemis Hood honors the sacred hunter, who only takes what she needs and knows the balance of the forest like the balance of her own body. There are many openings and doors within the design, showing the necessity of discernment on the path of Artemis.

Earth Goddess Tlaltecuhtli Bag
$1,111.00

This striking Earth Goddess Tlaltecuhtil Bag was crocheted by hand using a combination of freeform and intuition to make, there will never be another quite like her. This design seeks to honor the Aztec Goddess Tlaltecuhtil who is said to rule over life and death, holding her mouth agape to devour those destined for the River of the Dead. This goddess has both an open mind and mouth, with extra storing space in the head for adornments, snacks, or secret stashes. The bag is reversible, featuring soft stripes on the flip side for varied wearing options and added durability. The Aztec goddess has a full head of hair and a golden spiral on the back of her head to denote her crown. At the base of the bag is her open neck with anatomically correct veins, arteries, and cartilage included. The bag strap is woven out of reclaimed ties and crocheted into the frame of the bag for added support. The strap has a pink crocheted sleeve to ease carrying pressures as well as contribute to the elegance of this creation. This is a spacious bag with room to grow and expand around what you might be carrying, and moving through.
